Wesley A. Boyce completed his B.S. in Biology at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles in 1982 and went to work in the pharmaceutical industry long enough to become disenchanted with the indiscriminate use of drug therapy.  wes_headshot_suitHe then returned to school and earned a Masters Degree in Counseling at Cal State Fullerton in 1987 and began his career as a Deep Tissue Massage Therapist that same year. He traveled around Asia and upon returning to California he joined the Encinitas Acupuncture and Massage when it was still called the Massage Center in 1990. In 1995 Wes graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine passed his state boards and began practicing Acupuncture. He is a Diplomat with the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics.

When treating the musculo-skeletal system, Wes works deeply into the soft tissues to create release and circulation close to the bone. It is here where blood vessels and nerves are especially compressed by tight, fibrotic muscle, tendon and facia.  He promotes pain relief and increases range of motion at this level using a variety of modalities including myofacial release, neuromuscular techniques, sports massage, stretching, and foot reflexogy.  Wes also treats many other internal systemic disorders such as sinusitis, depression, insomnia, and immune deficiency using nutrition, acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
